68 year old woman with very deep grooved wrinkles around her mouth underwent a deep chemical peel ( our Oasis Peel with croton oil and phenol ) to build collagen and improve texture and reduce the wrinkles. She was very happy with the improvement seen at 6 weeks. Healing….. One week of yellow bismuth paste on the skin, allowing it to crumble off and applying anti-microbial balm to the fresh new skin as it shows up. Very important to prepare the skin for this deep peel for 8 weeks prior to the peel with retinol and pigment blockers and sunscreen with zinc. This is the gold standard for the thick skin of the perioral area. Deep chemical peels with croton oil and phenol work better than laser for the wrinkles around the mouth.

This 84 year old was bothered by very tired hooded eyes, bags and dark circles, and loose skin around her eyes. Dr. Schiedler did an upper blepharoplasty, lower blepharoplasty, and Oasis Peel on her periocular skin to tighten and reduce fine lines and wrinkles. There is some light pinkness from the peel at 3 months of healing. She already looks more awake and energetic. All pinkness is gone at 1 year 3 months, and she looks so refreshed and natural.
