Featured here is a 72-year-old woman that was sent to Dr. Schiedler for a biopsy-proven basal cell carcinoma on her eyelid. Dr. Schiedler removed it with a small, healthy-looking edge and sent it to pathology to confirm clear margins with frozen sections. Once it was confirmed, the entire skin cancer was removed, Dr. Schiedler repaired the area with a local skin flap so the patient could still blink. The incisions are aligned to blend in with existing smile lines. No webbing or stretch lines were formed and it healed flat and smooth. This patient was happy with their results.
