Upper and Lower Eyelid (Blepharoplasty) Patient 7
Oasis Eye Face and Skin | Ashland, Medford, Grants Pass, Oregon
This 68-year-old woman saw Dr. Schiedler for droopy upper eyelids and puffy bags under her eyes, which she had since childhood. She was very bothered by the asymmetry of the upper lid skin folds since one side was blocking vision and draped far over the lashes. Additionally, she did not like how her eyes made her look tired, even though she felt energetic.
Dr. Schiedler recommended a brow lift at the hairline on the droopier side, an upper eyelid blepharoplasty to remove the skin folds, and a lower blepharoplasty to remove the excessive fat pads and some skin. After surgery, the patient was very happy to have a better match between her upper lids and her eyebrows. She also was very pleased with the improvement in her lower lids. On top of this, she no longer feels the need to hide behind glasses anymore.
