Upper Eyelid (Blepharoplasty) Patient 3

Oasis Eye Face and Skin | Ashland, Medford, Grants Pass, Oregon

Featured here is a 70-year-old man who had heavy folds of skin blocking his upper and side vision. Dr. Schiedler recontoured the upper lids through a blepharoplasty surgery to remove the heaviness and obstruction. There are still mild residual skin folds remaining, due to low brows and deep-set eyes. Removing this fold of skin entirely with lid surgery would cause eyelid problems by shortening the distance too much between the eyelashes and the brows.

The patient was counseled to have a brow lift, but he chose to defer the brow lift, for the time being, although it would have improved the results even more, he was very happy with the improvement in his vision with blepharoplasty alone.
